Lycopodium, a yellow powder made up of microscopic spores of Lycopodium clavatum, a perennial herbaceous plant, is traditionally used in violin making to create a very efficient putty by mixing it with glue, hot glues or Titebond. The result is a very spreadable and uniform cream with a color very similar to wood.
